I founded The Boxing Club at FIT NYC based on my personal weight loss journey. We gained over 500 signups in a year while attracting partnerships with large brands such as Amazon and Equinox. Find out how we grew so fast!

Our Billboard in Times Square

The Faces of The Boxing Club is a marketing campaign I created. Instead of relying on stock images, I had the idea to team up with up-and-coming models to direct various shoots to use as marketing material. I kicked off this campaign by displaying my first creatively directed video on one of the largest billboards in Times Square. This campaign not only served as a marketing tool but helped build the portfolios of all involved.

“Nic used his social capital and networking skills to quickly bring this unknown new organization to be one of the most talked about clubs – The Boxing Club was an instant success.”

Brand Deals & Partnerships

  • Equinox opened a new location close to campus and found out about The Boxing Club through our social media presence. They reached out to us and we developed a partnership where our club members were able to get professionally trained at their new location.

  • One of the largest streaming services came across The Boxing Club's Instagram account and invited our 500+ members to the red carpet world premiere of their new movie Road House. This movie starred UFC fighter Conor McGregor and had an overall mixed martial arts theme which was perfect for our members.

  • “Relax, it’s just water” Liquid Death entered the flooded market of packaged water and dominated it. I reached out to Liquid Death as an avid fan of their product to try and set up a partnership with The Boxing Club and they were on board almost immediately. They have provided our 500+ members with countless amounts of hydration.

  • My first time boxing was at a Bumble event where they rented out a professional boxing gym for a few college students and I signed up ASAP. Since I liked it so much and other students did too, I wanted a way to bring it to campus. And I did just that. Since that event, we have teamed up with Bumble twice. The first time was to rent out that same professional boxing gym but this time only for our members. The second time they sponsored our largest on-campus event so far where we gave out 200 boxing gloves and held an all-inclusive neon event.

A Look Inside The Club

“I attribute their success to Nic’s marketing skills, as he created eye-catching materials and used guerilla marketing tactics to continue to reach a larger audience.”

Logo Design

People started referring to The Boxing Club as “TBC” and I wanted a way to simplify our branding. A good logo will be scalable to look good in all sizes. A great logo will have variations. A perfect logo will be dynamic and look nice on any background. My design below incorporates all of the above. See more logos I’ve created here.
